Let's get a little mud on the tires!

I'd be lying if I said I'm not exhausted. The hubster has been working A LOT and hasn't been getting home until after the munchkins have finally gone to bed. That means this Mommy doesn't get a break. at all. Especially since the boy does not take a nap at all anymore. The rare occasion he does actually take a nap it's never the same time as the girl so it makes for a long day most days. Anyway my point is this morning didn't start off to well. The hubster did not get home until 3am-ish which meant he was sleeping in this morning which left getting the kids up and ready to me. No break for Mommy. I may have had a slight meltdown and surprisingly he didn't have one back and me and just let me use him as a punching bag for a little (not literally). Well anyway everyone got ready and we were off.

Yesterday was our friend Chad's 30th birthday. Per his request he wanted to go riding in the woods for his birthday celebration so we all loaded up in the Jeep and off we went. Hunter loves nothing more than riding in Daddy's Jeep he just thinks it's the coolest thing ever. It was a blast we rode around for about 3 hours or so probably 50 miles and the Jeep got REAL dirty. Hunter wasn't a big fan of Daddy's Keep going off into some of those mud holes. He kept telling Daddy that his Jeep doesn't go in the water and we needed a boat. Haleigh loved it too so much.. she fell asleep. Ha- only my girl. The highlight of the day was when we were about to leave what Hunter named the "sand box" JJ decided to drive up on this ridiculously steep and narrow hill. No joke when he got to the top I was freaking out. It was like being on Splash Mountain and looking down on the park. Okay maybe not dramatic but my kids were in the Jeep too so it was to me. Of course we got down safely.

All in all it was a super fun day we ended it by heading over to Hobbit Hoagies for dinner. That was another adventure in itself. I tell you it's getting harder and harder with a 2 1/2 year old and a 16 month old to go out to eat-- or anywhere for that matter. Meltdowns seem to be a part of the norm for us and I won't lie when I say it's super embarrassing and I really don't know how to prevent them. Apparently this is "normal" and will end.. one day.. until then if you need to find me.. listen for the screaming children.

Oh Theresa... You should blog about the important things....

You know I spend A LOT of time reading blogs. I love them. I know I am not the only one out there that does. I love reading stories and hearing about all the wonderful things in life... other peoples lives that is. So I have MY blog. He Works I Save. I love my blog. I love the people who actually read my blog. But you know what there are SOOOO many out there right now. I really have met some amazing people since starting my blog, officially November 2010, amazing people I tell ya. But you know what is more amazing. Two little people in my life. Haleigh & Hunter who deserve to be blogged about more than any great deal! So I have decided that I will blog about them. I won't make a promise about how much or when, but I will make a promise to take some time and talk about them and all the wonderful things they do. I just sat here and read every blog posting I wrote previous to this date. I had so many smiles reading these posts and although they may seem silly now. I know Theresa in the future will appreciate these posts. So here we go... A blog about the life of Theresa...
