Let's get a little mud on the tires!

I'd be lying if I said I'm not exhausted. The hubster has been working A LOT and hasn't been getting home until after the munchkins have finally gone to bed. That means this Mommy doesn't get a break. at all. Especially since the boy does not take a nap at all anymore. The rare occasion he does actually take a nap it's never the same time as the girl so it makes for a long day most days. Anyway my point is this morning didn't start off to well. The hubster did not get home until 3am-ish which meant he was sleeping in this morning which left getting the kids up and ready to me. No break for Mommy. I may have had a slight meltdown and surprisingly he didn't have one back and me and just let me use him as a punching bag for a little (not literally). Well anyway everyone got ready and we were off.

Yesterday was our friend Chad's 30th birthday. Per his request he wanted to go riding in the woods for his birthday celebration so we all loaded up in the Jeep and off we went. Hunter loves nothing more than riding in Daddy's Jeep he just thinks it's the coolest thing ever. It was a blast we rode around for about 3 hours or so probably 50 miles and the Jeep got REAL dirty. Hunter wasn't a big fan of Daddy's Keep going off into some of those mud holes. He kept telling Daddy that his Jeep doesn't go in the water and we needed a boat. Haleigh loved it too so much.. she fell asleep. Ha- only my girl. The highlight of the day was when we were about to leave what Hunter named the "sand box" JJ decided to drive up on this ridiculously steep and narrow hill. No joke when he got to the top I was freaking out. It was like being on Splash Mountain and looking down on the park. Okay maybe not dramatic but my kids were in the Jeep too so it was to me. Of course we got down safely.

All in all it was a super fun day we ended it by heading over to Hobbit Hoagies for dinner. That was another adventure in itself. I tell you it's getting harder and harder with a 2 1/2 year old and a 16 month old to go out to eat-- or anywhere for that matter. Meltdowns seem to be a part of the norm for us and I won't lie when I say it's super embarrassing and I really don't know how to prevent them. Apparently this is "normal" and will end.. one day.. until then if you need to find me.. listen for the screaming children.

Oh Theresa... You should blog about the important things....

You know I spend A LOT of time reading blogs. I love them. I know I am not the only one out there that does. I love reading stories and hearing about all the wonderful things in life... other peoples lives that is. So I have MY blog. He Works I Save. I love my blog. I love the people who actually read my blog. But you know what there are SOOOO many out there right now. I really have met some amazing people since starting my blog, officially November 2010, amazing people I tell ya. But you know what is more amazing. Two little people in my life. Haleigh & Hunter who deserve to be blogged about more than any great deal! So I have decided that I will blog about them. I won't make a promise about how much or when, but I will make a promise to take some time and talk about them and all the wonderful things they do. I just sat here and read every blog posting I wrote previous to this date. I had so many smiles reading these posts and although they may seem silly now. I know Theresa in the future will appreciate these posts. So here we go... A blog about the life of Theresa...

5 pairs of shoes for $15!

About 3 weeks ago my favorite blog Hip2Save had a deal posted for Payless- I ended up getting two pairs of shoes one for me and one for my mom for less than $4.50- I had them shipped to the store. I got an email yesterday that said the shoes came in so on my way home from school today I stopped by Payless to pick up the shoes- I looked around while I was there and found another pair of shoes for mom $2, one for Hunter $4 and one for baby girl Mills $3. Yay I love good shopping trips. Here is what I got -- ok nevermind they don't have any of them on their website but they are super cute!!

25 weeks already??

I can't believe how fast time is flying. We had our 24ish week appointment on Thursday and got to see little miss. mills again. I was glad JJ was able to escape the gates of hell work to be able to come with us. The ultrasound tech said everything was great and she was about 1.5lbs and had chubby cheeks-- now how a 1.5lbs baby has chubby cheeks is beyond me but hey thanks for giving my little girl a complex already. Everything was good with the Dr. too. They gave me my lab paperwork to go take my gestational diabetes test sometime this week among the other 453890853409 things I have to do.

Yes her name is a secret- very few know what it is- and if your not one of those people don't feel bad- those who do know it probably heard it on accident and have been sworn to secrecy. We have been asked why we are keeping it a secret and I don't have a better answer than- because I can- hows that for ya? lol

Hunter is going to be 1 on Sunday. Seriously talking about time flying- at the same time though it feels like he has always been around and I could not imagine our lives without him in it. He changes so much everyday and I am so thankful for the time I get to spend with him. Stopping working in April has been a blessing in disguise but somehow JJ and I are making it work. I am grateful that I am the one who is able to care for him everyday and I don't have to miss out on the little things in his life.

24 weeks --- as of 4 minutes ago

I have been a huge slacker when it comes to documenting this pregnancy. I almost feel as if I am neglecting this little girl- but I promise I'm not! Even saying that every moment I was pregnant with Hunter I knew how big he was what he was doing that week and every little thing going on inside my belly. I followed thebump.com like it was my job and was fascinated about everything pregnancy. In saying that maybe it is just that I "know" what is going on because Hunter will just be 1 in two weeks!! Well baby girl Mills (her name is a secret for now) I promise your Mommy loves you and is taking good care of you and your brother did not get more ice cream than you are! Anyway I can't believe I am 24 weeks-- still at the same time it seems so far away. I am all for our little girl to stay as long as she wants even though once I get into the 9th month I may feel a little different. My biggest hope for this pregnancy is that I get to experience what real labor is like. I almost felt that I was robbed of that with Hunter because of the PIH

(pregnancy induced hypertension) and I had to be induced at 37 weeks. I want to be able to experience all the "fun" I didn't get to with Hunter because who knows- this could be my last pregnancy. Speaking of that- I always wanted a large family. At least 4 kids. I just love the time you can spend with family and what would be better than having lots of people to share your love with. Now that Hunter is almost a year (crazy I know!) and baby girl Mills will be here in just 16 weeks or less I almost feel that our family is going to be complete. We will have the perfect little family a Mommy, Daddy and a boy and girl. People have asked me if I am going to get my tubes tied after this pregnancy- I can't help but think are you freaking crazy??? First of all I am only 26 why would I do something so drastic at such a young age? I would still like for the option to be there if JJ and I decide to expand our perfect little family. So nosy people of the world-- even though I think the question is pretty inappropriate- no I am not getting my "tubes tied”. You know I don't know if I have ever wrote about this--- especially since I have been very absent in documenting this pregnancy- okay I just forgot what I was going to write- ugh pregnancy brain. Oh yeah now I remember. We found out we were expecting another baby on Valentine's Day. The days prior to this- maybe even an entire week before I had taken a few (um about 7) pregnancy tests. The problem with these tests is that they would show up negative and for some reason after taking the first few I decided to look at them again the next day and they turned positive--- very faint line-- but positive nonetheless. Well because I had been on this saving money kick-- which I still am-- I was buying my tests from the dollar store because they are expensive everywhere else. So I bit the bullet on Valentine's Day on our way home from my amazing brunch at my favorite restaurant with JJ and Hunter and asked JJ to stop at CVS so I could buy one of those fancy digital tests. Two test and $25 later it was clear I was pregnant and I knew from that moment it would be a girl. This little diva was high maintenance already apparently she was too good for the dollar store tests-- lol. Well anyway this pregnancy has kicked my butt for the most part- I try to stay positive because I find if I tell people that I in fact feel pretty good my days seem to go better. In reality thought I am scared to take my pregnancy vitamins because they make me sick and I am so tired all the time. As long as my little girl is healthy I will tackle all of this- I know it is all worth it! I have my Dr. Appt on Thursday- I don't know yet if JJ will be able to go because of work so it may just be Hunter and I. The good news is that we will get to see baby girl Mills again! At my last ultrasound they could not get a good picture of her heart so they are having me do another. Not that I mind at all! Well I guess that is it for now- I really need to make more of an effort to document this pregnancy I owe it to my little girl if anything. So that is my goal for now- Once a week updates- on both of my kids!

You know I thought that because I am a stay at home mom now I would have so much more time for my blog--- yeah not so much.
